Carlos Antonio Palacios (Pepe) was called to be with the Lord on January 20, 2021 at the age of 63. After a brief battle with an aggressive form of Lung Cancer, Pepe died peacefully with his beloved daughters, Andrea and Mariana by his side.
Pepe was born in Lima, Peru on February 15, 1958, to parents Carlos Palacios and Cristina Diaz. He was an active member and founder of Equipo Blanco at Club Punta Negra in Peru. Pepe loved playing soccer, spending time with family and friends, swimming at the beach, and eating wings - as long as they were hot with a side of curly fries.
After following his dream to become an airplane mechanic in Lima, Peru, and working for many years in the Empresa de Transporte Aereo del Peru- AEROPERU, Pepe came to the United States to work and provide a better future. Pepe was an Aircraft Mechanic for 31 years and held his Airframe and Powerplant License. He went on to travel around the United States working as an A&P Mechanic.
If you asked Pepe, his greatest accomplishment in life wasn’t his soccer legacy or his career. It was being a father. Pepe was so proud of his daughter’s accomplishments in their educational careers.
Pepe is survived by his daughters, Andrea and Mariana. His cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed as he will live in their hearts forever.
“If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever.” -A.A Milne
